When did Christ's rule begin?
Ephesians 1:20-21 (NASB) which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead
and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and
dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come.
- when did begin to rule?
- Christ was given authority above all "rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named
- If he is above all "rule" then he is the King of kings at his resurrection.
- In WT 2007 April 1 p. 21 - they quote a portion of this verse, leaving out the part that states he
above all rule... and jump to verse 23 which states: "and made him head over all things to the congregation, which is his
body."
- this verse was written more than 1800 years before WT claimed that it happened in 1914!
- 1 Corinthians 15:25 (NASB) For He must reign until He has put all His enemies under His feet.
- Revelation 1:5 (NASB) and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the
ruler of the kings of the earth. To Him who loves us and released us from our sins by His blood--
John 5:23 (NASB) so that all will honor the Son even as they honor the Father. He who does
not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him.
- "Just as they honour the Father." If we misrepresent who Jesus is that is a dishonour to him.
- they claim that obeying him, preaching work, and manifesting brotherly love is how they honour the Son.
1 Corinthians 16:22 (NASB) If anyone does not love the Lord, he is to be accursed. Maranatha.
- Openly calling out to Jesus is not approved. Maranatha means "come Lord/ our Lord come".
Romans 11:6 (NASB) But if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works, otherwise grace is no longer
grace.
- works don't get you saved. WT July 15, 2011 "We need to obey the faithful and discreet slave to have Jehovah's
approval".
- Examining the Scriptures Daily - 2023 p. 64-65 "The plain truth is that we cannot say that we trust in Jehovah if we do
not trunst in this earthly representatives--those whom Jehovah trusts.
Romans 8:9 (NASB) However, you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. But
if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him.
- this does not say that only some have Christ and belong to him, but "if anyone does not have the
Spirit of Christ..."
- WT teaching is that only the 144,000 have the Spirit of Christ and only they are the anointed ones.
- the Spirit is given to all true believers. If you don't have the Spirit you don't have God, you don't belong to Christ.
Acts 26:18 (NASB) to open their eyes so that they may turn from darkness to light and from
the dominion of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who have been
sanctified by faith in Me.'
Genesis 3:8 (NASB) They heard the sound of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the
day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God among the trees of the garden.
- Jehovah walks on earth! They accept that "no man has ever seen God"
